Recently renovated, sparkling clean and 10 minutes from Newcastle Airport, the Fern Bay Motel was perfect for my overnight stay in Newcastle. The new, very comfortable bed and rain shower were added bonuses, as was breakfast in my room. Very special thanks to Samuel for his kind assistance with my travel arrangements both before and once I had arrived at the motel.

Standard roadside motel. The room was clean and the service was excellent. The only complaint was that the mattress was way too soft and I woke up with a sore back. Compliments to the staff for being attentive and friendly. Delivered meals and drinks to the door with a QR code which made things simple. Very affordable wine menu and the food was great for excellent for budget accommodation with just a few staff on premises. Would stay again!

Beautiful and clean room, sheets and bathroom. Shower was sparkling clean. Grounds were well taken care of. Lovely staff. Great parking right outside of room. Room had an aircon, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge and kitchen sink. Nice big tv and free wifi which worked well. Rooms were quiet and peaceful with thick walls, did not hear any traffic or noise. Bed was comfy and had a great sleep. Felt safe and comfortable. Will stay here again if we ever come back to the Newcastle area. Great value for money.

Stayed for a weekend. Clean rooms and bed sheets. The owner was nice enough to give me a complimentary upgrade to a larger room as their earlier booking was canceled. It's conveniently located, although it's not newcastle central. I recommend and will revisit.

Clean rooms, comfy bed, great customer service. I was only staying one night and had to check in after hours. The team made it a breeze. And it was a welcome respite at the end of a long day.

Our family stayed here on the June long weekend . Absolutely loved it , like home away from home . Room was clean and had plenty of space for my toddler to run around . Bathroom looked new . Beds very comfortable . TV worked well ( no glitches) Service fantastic … very friendly and helpful. Restaurant served delicious home cooked style meals . Management provided a high chair for out room and were very attentive . Look forward to going back next year .

Convenient location 40min drive to Nelson Bay, 15min from Newcastle, 5min from Stockton beach. Spotless, refurbished amenities, spacious and airy with sit-out deck overlooking greenery and parking in front of room Comfy bed, large smart TV, kitchen amenities Handy dining room on premises, eat in or room service and some purchase options, food was pretty darn good Value for money and friendly staff Looking forward to returning!

Rooms big, great and clean. Friendly staff. Large and working tv with uninterrupted internet. Good view of the golf course and on location bbq for guests. The only downside is about 10-15 mins from all the hub-bub.
